New appointee to the CEDA Board of Directors works at Deltares
During their Annual General Meeting of 5 November 2009 Johan Pennekamp of Deltares was elected to the Board of Directors of the Central Dredging Association (CEDA). With his position on the Board of Directors of CEDA he makes afresh the representation of Deltares on CEDA management level preceded by Prof. Henk Jan Overbeek (Delft Hydraulics) and Martin Kroeze (GeoDelft). Johan Pennekamp continues to chair the Netherlands National Section of CEDA.
CEDA is the Euro-Afro-branch organisation of the dredging industry with members comprising dredging contractors, public work – and harbour authorities, consultancies, shipyards and research institutes. For over 30 years CEDA has formed a platform and network of these organisations and individual professionals in the dredging and maritime sector. CEDA organises national and international meetings, workshops, congresses and workshops to build up and maintain a wide network within the branch and to disseminate state of the art knowledge valuable for the dredging sector. Next to that CEDA forms an independent, branch wide representation in international fora concerning dredging related issues.
