FloodProBE

Deltares participates in the FloodProBE consortium. This consortium provides a cost-effective means of flood risk reduction and damage mitigation in urban areas.

The aim is to improve flood resilience and protection performance. The European research programme will develop, test, and disseminate technologies, methods, and tools for assessment purposes and for the adaptation of new and existing buildings and critical infrastructure.

FloodProBE began on 1 November 2009 and will run for four years. The consortium consists of fourteen European companies, research institutes, and knowledge organisations. The possibility for governments and market parties to participate sets this research apart.
