Integrated ecosystem approach

We help clients who want healthy ecosystems, supplying integrated analysis and assessments of ecosystems in relation to human use. We link up scientific methods with process and system knowledge.

Our expertise is concentrated primarily in the area of the interaction between organisms and their physical living environment. That allows us to answer complex, integrated questions about the condition and functioning of ecosystems, now and in the future. In addition, we develop monitoring programmes, indicators and assessment frameworks, for example to appraise ecosystems in terms of the European Water Framework Directives and the European Marine Strategy Framework Directive.
