Water Quality Forecasting

Real-time forecasting of water quality in oceans, basins and lakes is about more than just predicting future conditions. It requires integrated knowledge about meteorology, hydrology, hydrodynamics and water quality and a deep understanding of how they interact. The Delft-FEWS system makes this possible.

The open framework lets you plug in any type of simulation model and measured data stream. It binds them together and turns them into a reliable and comprehensive forecasting system. Delft-FEWS was originally developed for real-time flood forecasting, and is therefore extremely powerful in manipulating time series, performing statistical analysis, controlling simulation models and generating GIS maps.
