Course overview

Deltares Academy is Deltares’ educational facility in the field of geo- and hydraulic engineering by means of courses, masterclasses  and ICT facilities.

This course will feature several popular models used in practice and focus on their advantages and disadvantages.
The main objective of this two-day course is to learn and understand the design and execution for state-of-the-art soil improvement techniques.
The Course on Basic and Advanced Exposure Models, discusses various aspects of exposure modelling as detailed in the
Deltares, Delft | Hydraulics, has developed an integrated 3D modelling suite for coastal, river, lake and estuarine areas.
Deltares developed the GeoBrain concept: "Integrating expertise, experience and machine learning to improve prediction models in design and decision models."
The course provides participants with a systematic risk-driven method for planning a monitoring programme, including many practical cases.
this three-day course participants will learn to master the design of HDD crossings while considering the risks involved.
This course deals with the most important design factors and their theoretical backgrounds: drilling fluid pressures, pulling force, assessment of the strength of the pipeline.
A lot of effort is put in flood prevention, but what happens when a dike breaks or a water system flows over? With SOBEK-Rural Overland Flow you can simulate these calamities to investigate effect of
Rivers and channels are necessary for e.g. shipping, irrigation, drainage and production of drinking water. Fluctuation of discharges can cause flooding or water shortage. With SOBEK-Rural 1DFLOW
Rainfall runoff processes are important in understanding and forecasting of flooding and droughts. With SOBEK-Rural RR you can simulate rainfall runoff with different catchment hydrology models.
A course focusing on facilitating multi-stakeholder processes and curriculum development
More and more consultants in the UK and the Netherlands are involved in projects where Delft-FEWS is being applied.
Whether your focus lies on flood forecasting, operational water management, water quality issues, design of sewer systems, or even all of these issues: the integrated approach of the SOBEK modelling
